The S212 E63 AMG estate mates AMG's M157 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 to a full-size load-lugging wagon body, reaching 577 hp in facelift S-Model 4Matic form. It is the quickest way Mercedes ever sold to move a family and their luggage, and the estate's scarcity next to the sedan is what drives the collector interest.
The one to have: 2014–2016 E63 S-Model 4Matic Wagon — facelift M157 5.5 twin-turbo V8, 577 hp / 590 lb-ft, 7-speed AMG Speedshift MCT, all-wheel drive. In the US the estate was sold only in this specification, so a clean, unmodified, documented US-market S 4Matic wagon on factory wheels is the car.

Know the real one
The M157 5.5 twin-turbo V8 replaced the atmospheric 6.2 M156; the S212 estate is the only wagon Mercedes fitted it to.
US-market wagons (2014–16) were sold exclusively as the E63 S 4Matic at 577 hp — no RWD or base-output wagon reached America new.
Spotting the lesser car: pre-facelift 2012–13 wagons are 518 hp RWD (550 hp only with the P30 AMG Performance Package); facelift S adds 4Matic, dynamic engine mounts and Performance seats.
The estate is far scarcer than the E63 sedan, a special-order body in most markets — condition, mileage and factory-stock wheels drive value more than year.
