The F50 is a mid-engined targa built around a carbon-fibre tub with a 4.7L naturally aspirated V12 — derived from Ferrari's Formula 1 and 333 SP programme — bolted in as a fully stressed member and driving through a 6-speed manual. Collectors prize it as Ferrari's most analog flagship: no ABS, traction control or power assistance, just 349 built, and the last of the marque's hand-built, driver-focused supercars before electronics took over.
The one to have: A low-mileage Rosso Corsa example, Ferrari Classiche certified (Red Book confirming matching-numbers engine, transaxle and body), complete with both the removable carbon hardtop and the folding soft top, plus the factory flight case and Schedoni luggage.

Know the real one
The 60-valve V12 is bolted directly to the rear of the carbon-fibre tub as a fully stressed member — there is no rear subframe, and the gearbox and suspension hang off the engine. It is deliberately analog: no ABS, no traction control, no power steering and no brake servo.
349 were built between 1995 and 1997; 302 were Rosso Corsa, with the balance in Giallo Modena, Rosso Barchetta, Nero and Argento. Every car is a targa, supplied with both a removable hardtop and a separate folding soft top, each in its own fitted flight case.
The Tipo F130B engine descends from Ferrari's 3.5L Formula 1 V12 and first ran in the 333 SP sports-prototype before being enlarged to 4.7L for the road, revving to 8,500 rpm.
Value tracks completeness and paperwork: a Ferrari Classiche Red Book confirming matching-numbers engine, transaxle and body, both tops present, Schedoni luggage and low mileage separates the top cars. Factory wheels are silver Speedline five-spoke — black or aftermarket wheels signal a modified car.
